School: May marked my last month at Keyes elementary as a 4th grade teacher. It was bittersweet saying goodbye. It's nice that I get to stay home with Alex next year but it's also hard leaving behind all of the wonderful friends I've made at the school. I will truly miss my 4th grade team! They were awesome and threw me a wonderful baby shower before the end of the year. Here are a few pictures of the event:
Alex: Alex is doing good and growing like a weed! I've been feeling him a lot more as he moves around and kicks those big feet :) I am 26 weeks tomorrow...one week away from my 3rd trimester. The last couple of weeks in the pregnancy have been good....no bad symptoms (knock on wood)! I passed my glucose test and the doctor said everything looks good. We go back in 3 weeks to have a 3d/4d ultrasound done. I can't wait to see what he looks like! We also are having a baby shower in Missouri with Jake's family towards the end of the month. We're excited to see everyone!
Life and Loss: With a heavy heart, I add this last part...this past Friday (June 3, 2011) I lost my Aunt Barbara. My weekend was a blur of rushing to Silsbee for the funeral and mourning with my family. I am sad that Alex will never meet her. He would have loved her and she would have spoiled him rotten. All that I have left are memories to share...Rest in Peace Aunt Barbara. I love you and will think of you every day!
