Wow, I cannot believe we've been here a whole month already! Time really does fly when you're having fun. Also, I am officially the world's worst blogger. I have every intention of updating and posting often,but...life gets in the way. So here's a mix of like 10 blog posts all rolled into one to catch us up :)
Last I checked in, we had just moved to the third floor apartment off Nieuwe Prinsengracht. What an apartment! It had such an amazing view of the canal and the living room/kitchen layout was awesome...but those stairs! They were a nightmare...not only did we have 3 flights to get up to our apartment, but once we were in there were ladder stairs to get up to the bedrooms/warm bathroom.

By the end of our week and a half stay, we got used to the stairs and it wasn't so bad.
While staying here, we celebrated Emily's 1st birthday! She is getting so big! Such a happy little girl :) She always has a smile on her face.

While sad to give up the amazing view, we were happy when our first floor apartment was ready for us. It was an easy move...same place just down the stairs :)

We're happy to finally be settled in to a place! We really like this location. There are so many things to do! We are a 10 minute walk to the Zoo, so of course we had to get season passes.
We've also been to many playgrounds around. They are everywhere! It's neat because they are all different.

Most of the playgrounds we've come across have large sandboxes. The Dutch are very laid back and don't fuss about the kiddos getting dirty. The kids run around and pretty much have free rein to just be kids and explore.
Here are some random pictures from our days...

And the latest addition to our adventure...a bakfiets!
Now I can ride around with the kids in tow! Tune in to see how it goes...
